I'm with you on 2,3 & 4 and at least both clubs working towards a common goal on other issues.....
I really don't know where to start with something like finding land. Does someone want to volunteer to look into this?
I'd also like to raise membership ...

my personal idea is to get about 10 jeeps/trucks or whatever , and make a club ride and pair up and go door to door and scout land. if theres no door, go to the clerk of court and find OWNERS. i dont think we need insurance. its a rip |

I think somewhere as close to BR as St Francisville would be good terrain wise. I know a few people that live there (one state rep too) and I'll see what I can find out, but no promises....

Lee, its a good idea. But, I think you will find that alot of land owners are lawyers or their brother/ sister who is partial owner is a lawyer. They require that their ass is covered. Which, if we get this law passed, won't be as much of an issue. The liability waivers we sign will actually carry some weight.

look, heres my plan.
the law says if you are trespassing and get hurt you cannot sue.
we take a trip and jimmy jack the assclown rolls his truck. jimmy jack sues Mr NICELANDOWNER, and MR NICELANDOWNER has him charged with trespassing. its a misdemeanor. ill go to court and say mr NICELANDOWNER never gave us permission, as Jimmie Jack the ASSCLOWN is stupid for suing.
is this too complicated? |

Perfectly clear. But, I believe perjury is a crime  I would say this law promotes tresspassing  The problem with the world is Jimmie Jack the ASSCLOWN

It's funny, but you'd think that Landowners would get behind this as well.
If I were a land owner.....
Situation A:
Have folks offer me money to ride my land with my consent in areas I designate. This way any destruction I know who to blame & either way will likely have folks to help me keep the roads clear and they will probably clean up after themselves.
Situation B:
Folks will have to resort to illegal wheelin, not stay in designated areas, be in a big rush while tearing stuff up and not cleanup after them selves ... and I get no money....
